Security policy

Security is one of our main business functions. Mazowiecki Port Lotniczy Warszawa-Modlin Sp. z o.o. undertakes to elaborate, implement, maintain and constantly improve its strategies and processes in order to make sure that our air operations are carried out in the conditions of sustainable allocation of our resource, aimed at achievement of the highest level of security and implementation of domestic and international standards of our services. The management at all levels and all the employees, starting from the Management Board of Mazowiecki Port Lotniczy Warszawa-Modlin Sp. z o.o. are responsible for providing the highest level of security.

The scope of our engagement is:

  • To support security management by providing all the appropriate measures that are to lead to the creation of corporate culture which will favour safe work, encourage effective reporting on security and communication as well as actively manage other systems within the organisation;
  • To enforce security management as the basic duty of the whole management team and personnel;
  • To clearly define the duties and responsibility for implementation of the security strategy for all the employees and the managing staff as well as to specify the operation of our security management system;
  • To create and carry out threat identification and risk management, including a threat reporting system, in order to eliminate or limit risks arising from threats that result from our operations, until we reach the point where the risk is kept at the lowest possible level (ALARP);
  • To make sure that there are no consequences for any employee who reveals danger to security via the reporting system, unless such reveal indicates, beyond any doubt, that it involves illegal action, gross negligence or wilful disregard of regulations or procedures;
  • To observe and, if possible, to exceed the statutory and legal requirements and standards;
  • To make sure that appropriately trained and qualified human resources are available for the purpose of implementation of security strategy and policy;
  • To make sure that all the employees receive relevant and adequate information concerning aviation security, appropriate training on security and that they are only assigned such tasks that meet their competencies;
  • To specify and to analyse implementation of our assumptions with reference to actual security ratios and objectives in terms of security;
  • To constantly improve our activities in the scope of security through management processes, allowing to take appropriate and effective measures;
  • To make sure that the systems and third-party services that support our operations and have impact upon the level of security, meet our security standards.
