Safety of air operations
Under the civil aviation convention adopted by Poland airports within the territory of a particular state must operate according to regulations and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Therefore, in order to conduct civil aviation operations an appropriate certificate is required. Before such a certificate is issued, a certification audit is performed by the Civil Aviation Authority. Its objective is to verify durable ability of the entity to perform aviation operations.
Accordingly, the President of the Civil Aviation Authority issued appropriate certificates for Warsaw Modlin Airport.
At present, authorisation to carry out take-off operations in low visibility conditions (LVTO) is being prepared for Warsaw Modlin Airport.
The fact that the airport has obtained the certificate proves that it meets the requirements of binding international and domestic regulations and that it provides safe functioning and performance of air operations.
