Changes to the rules for travel to Poland - 17/12 Update

Important information for passengers and crews flying from outside the Non Schengen Area!

Today (December 17), the amendment to the regulation of the Council of Ministers on the establishment of restrictions in connection with the epidemic was published in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland.

  • The regulation exempts from obligatory tests after arrival from the Non Schengen Area, Aircraft crews flying as part of their official duties
  • It was clarified that passengers traveling from outside of Schengen Area, from 18/12 will be able to perform the test at the airport within three hours from the moment of crossing the border

From December 15, 2021 changes to the crossing of the Polish border by passengers from outside the EU and the Schengen Area come into force.

Passengers arriving from these directions will be required to present a negative diagnostic test for SARS-CoV-2, in Polish or English, obtained no later than 24 hours before arrival. The cost of the test is borne by the passenger.

A person who does not show a negative test result will be required to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine.

Please be advised that at the Warsaw Modlin Airport it is possible to perform SARS-CoV-2 tests, only in the landside area.
It is not possible to perform the test upon arrival, prior to border control.
