Passenger traffic at the Warsaw Modlin Airport almost at the level of 2019!

Warsaw Modlin Airport is not slowing down. In October, over 217,000 passengers used the airport, almost 4 times more than in the same period in 2020.

The Warsaw Modlin Airport is rebuilding air traffic faster and faster and is ahead of international forecasts. In October, the Port handled 217,012 passengers, an increase of + 370.9% y/y. Before the coronavirus pandemic, in October 2019, more than 238,000 passengers used the services of the Port, which means that this year's October is already 91.1% compared to the situation before the pandemic.

The excellent results of the Port were influenced by a very attractive network of air connections implemented as part of the summer flight schedule. In October Passengers could use over 180 connections a week, including the offer of newly launched flights to Bari, Zakhyntos, Kharkiv, Catania, Prague, Riga and Zadar.

The current winter flight schedule, which started on October 31, will certainly also be appreciated by passengers. It is one of the most extensivein the history of the Airport, covering 46 routes, including 6 new ones: Aarhus in Denmark, Helsinki, Kosice, Malta, Riga and Stockholm.

 - The last summer months, as well as autumn, show that the Warsaw Modlin Airport is of great importance, not only for Warsaw residents, but also for the entire Mazovia and north-eastern Poland. It is great to observe the multitude of vehicles and license plates every day in the filled parking lots in front of the terminal of our Port. We hope that as the vaccination campaign continues, the current wave of the coronavirus will soon be forgotten and next year we will record the results at the level of 2019. - says Tomasz Szymczak, Acting President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Modlin Airport.

The airport is also a permanent base for 7 Ryanair aircrafts. Some of the "traditional" Boeing 737-800s have recently been replaced by 3 Boeing 737-8200 "Gamechanger" aircrafts, in the Buzz colors. The first two of them arrived at the airport in October this year and another one on November 15.
