Air Moldova is a new carrier at Warsaw/Modlin Airport

Today, the national carrier of Moldova has launched a new direct connection from Chisinau to Warsaw/Modlin. Flights will be operated 3 times a week.

This year's winter network of airport connections is enriched not only with a new destination, but also with another carrier that starts regular operations from the Warsaw/Modlin Airport. From October 31, Air Moldova invites passengers on board its planes on the route Chisinau - Warsaw/Modlin - Chisinau on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets are now available at https://online.airmoldova.md

“It is with great satisfaction that we welcome a new carrier to our airport. The collaboration with Air Moldova looks very promising and is a valuable addition to our network of scheduled passenger connections. It is also a confirmation of the fact that the offer of Warsaw/Modlin Airport is becoming more and more attractive to potential new carriers, the first effects of which are visible today." - says Tomasz Szymczak, acting President of the Management Board of the Mazowiecki Port Lotniczy Warszawa-Modlin.

“Warsaw/Modlin Airport is becoming the airport of first choice for our eastern neighbors. I am convinced that the connection with Chisinau has great potential and will be often used not only by Poles and guests from Moldova, but also by passengers from Odessa, Vinnitsa, Chernivtsi, Uman and other Ukrainian cities." - adds Grzegorz Hlebowicz, Vice-President of the Management Board for Corporate Affairs at Mazowiecki Port Lotniczy Warszawa-Modlin.

“With great excitement, we are announcing extension of Air Moldova’s route network and launch of direct flight program between Warsaw/Modlin and Chisinau. These important developments are a part of Air Moldova strategic plans of further extension of the carrier’s network and increase of fleet. The new route will give additional possibilities to travel with greater comfort not only between Poland and Moldova, but also for travel between Poland and countries of Caucasus region, Georgia and Armenia”, says Alexandru Ceban, General Director of “Air Moldova”.

Warsaw/Modlin Airport is located just 37 kilometers from the center of Warsaw, near the S7 expressway and the Warsaw-Modlin railway line.

In the period of over ten years since the airport was launched, more than 22 million passengers have used it and over 141 thousand take-off and landing operations have been performed.

In 2022, Warsaw/Modlin Airport is one of the national leaders in terms of the speed of reconstruction of passenger traffic after the Covid-19 pandemic. According to estimated data, 2022 will end with over 3 million passengers served.
